My partner and I stayed at this beautiful property overlooking the sea
in the summer.
The location, views and surroundings were perfect for a relaxing getaway. Rooms were perfect and from our experience this property was the most modern in the area. There are a couple of friendly bars in the area which provide a perfect end to a busy day exploring.
We often travelled to Calheta beach in the day which was approximately 10 minutes drive. There is also a small supermarket in the area but we hardly needed it as everything needed is provided by "mobile supermarkets" throughout the day which pass directly outside the property.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the picturesque walks in the evening to the friendly local hospitality and would highly recommend this property.

The House & Paul do Mar were everything we hoped they would be. Lovely accommodation, a very warm welcome, lovely locals & the sound of the ocean is something you could never tire of. The house was clean, spacious & perfectly placed to make the most of the sea. The introduction to Largo Mar was especially welcome as it was a great place to meet the locals & enjoy good basic food & drink at v. reasonable prices. Paul do Mar had everything we needed, shop, cafe and bars but a short distance to Calheta & Prazeres provided further variety & a sandy beach. We definately hope to return & will certainly be recommending the experience to our family & friends.
Paul & Iva - THANKYOU

We spent a lovely, warm week in August at the house in Paul do Mer and had a wonderful, relaxed family holiday with our two children (4 and 6). Madiera is beautiful and we travelled to a few different beaches, including Calheta and Porto Moniz which both offered fabulous safe swimming spots for the children. We were able to lie back and relax as they paddled happily in the secure pools. Paul do Mer was a perfect break from the world for us as we wanted a holiday away from crowds and traffic and certainly achieved it here. We ate out regularly in both Paul do Mer and Jardim do Mer, which is beautiful. The house is very comfortable and we were made very welcome with great advice and help from Paul and Iva. We would love to return to Madiera one day and have already recommended the holiday to our families in South Africa and America. Thanks for having us!

With the nice accommodation we only eat out twice making full use of the barbecue and well equipped kitchen, providing a truly relaxing holiday. Rooms were very clean, with nice furnishings. Best: watching the stars and enjoying the ocean.
The western of the island is very beautiful and not touristy. Paul do Mar is a very quiet little village with a very good cafι (next to supermarket). We particularly enjoyed walking the local levada (Levada Nova from Prazeres to Calheta). We travelled to Porto Moniz and used the salt water swimming pool, absolutely amazing, we enjoyed swimming there very much and very often!
Iva and Paul were very friendly and helpful (they even paid our parking ticket!), gave us a warm welcome and lots of local information. Thanks!

We stayed for 2 weeks in Madeira in January and it was a great time. It was our first visit to Madeira. The island, Paul do Mar and the people have left us with many wonderful memories. The house was clean and had everything that we needed! It has a lot of space! We used even the grill and had some nice fish barbecues. We rented a car and used it to get to the Levadas and to enjoy the marvelous and spectacular landscape along the seaside and in the mountain region. We would also like to thank Ive and Paul for the warm welcome and for the numerous advices they gave us.

Hello Paul and Iva, we thank you for the nice vacation time we had in your place. All was exactly as shown on the pictures. The house by the ocean was for us a perfect choice, we did slept a couple of nights with wide open balcony windows.....enjoying a good bottle of Madeira Malmsey....That for us was priceless ....we had a never ending winter this year so the nice and warm temperature combined with the peaceful and regular ocean waves sound was like really been in an other world.
We did enjoy touring all over the Island, Fernanda liked all the levadas and tropical/botanical flower garden, I do prefer the north west side, St Vincente wilder coast and definitively a must see coming from any directions. I will absolutely recommend this type of accommodation for couples with friends or older children...We plan to return soon.
Thank you for all your caring and friendly assistance, I will recommend every one renting the House to follow Paul and Iva guidance in a way to really enjoy the wonderful and sublime Island experience .

Verified Homeowner
Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.
This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.
Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
We take this Owner Verification Scheme very seriously for your protection. If you have any doubts about the validity of an advert or misrepresentation please contact us with your concerns.
Please note, Lupain Holiday Rentals does not verify the advertisement content placed on this website by property owners, nor do we offer any guarantee as to the correctness of the advertising information placed on this website by third parties.
