The Old Forge Pumphouse was built in 1939 pumping water down to a factory 5 miles away. It was completely renovated in 2007 in a modern, contempory style. The holiday accommodation is in an adjoining annexe to the owner's property. The Pumphouse is in a two acre plot with river frontage (Gwendraeth Fach). The annexe has outside seating area where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a host of birdlife (kingfishers, dippers, buzzard to name but a few). Otters have been seen along the river and pipistrelle bats fly on summer evenings.
Accommodation Summary : The annexe has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower attachment and kitchen / lounge area. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven with ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, plus a good supply of crockery, glasses and cooking equipment. The lounge has a two seater sofabed, Sky TV, table and chairs. The house and holiday let are heated with underfloor heating.

The annexe essentially sleeps 2 people but a 3rd can be accommodated with the following arrangement. We now provide a travel cot & highchair for small children, but would like to stress that the accommodation is only suitable for 3. We also have a sofabed, thus accommodating an older child or adult (again 3 people only). We do not charge extra for a child that usess the travel cot (please supply own cot bedlinen), but if the sofabed is required an extra charge of £30 per stay will be added to cover the extra preparation this would incur (bedlinen etc). Please advise in your correspondence to us.

Welcome pack
A deposit of 25% of the full rental required at time of booking is non refundable. Balance is payable 8 weeks prior to let. Full payment at time of booking required for reservations made within 8 weeks of let. Lettings are from 2pm on the first day to 10am on the last day to allow cleaning / changeover.
We offer flexible terms at a daily rate - at present between £30 and £40 per night. We are just as happy for visitors to stay one night or as many nights as required. Please check the availability page for the appropriate daily rate.
One well behaved pet is welcome at a premium of £20 per pet per visit. The Annexe essentially sleeps 2 people, but a third person can be accommodated on a sofa bed. A charge of £30 will be added to cover the cost of the extra preparation a third person incurs.
Stays over 2 weeks are subject to negotiation.
Carmarthenshire Region Carmarthenshire is known as "the garden of Wales". It has lush rural landscapes, beautiful coastlines and interesting towns. The area is steeped in history and mythology. It has so many places to visit and things to do you will want to come back for more.
Kidwelly offers many attractions. The medieval castle and old priory church are in the centre of the town, whilst the industrial museum is just outside at Mynddygarreg. The yearly carnival is held in July, whilst the castle offers medieval attractions during July and August. For the walkers there is the Millenium Coastal Path and plenty of footpaths in the area.
Other Local Attractions Also in the area is Ffos Las Racecourse which is around 8km away; The Royal Botanical Gardens are a 25 minute drive away; Dylan Thomas' boathouse at Laugharne is around 30 minutes drive; Aberglasney house and gardens is just outside Llandeilo; The National Wetlands Centre is a few miles east of Llanelli; The Millenium Coastal Path can be accessed at Pembrey, providing a traffic free area, hard surfaced track for cyclists and walkers; Pembrokeshire lies to the west with its fabulous beaches and beautiful countryside.
Pembrey Country Park is just 3 miles south - it has a vast stretch of beach, a wonderful forest, and offers horse riding as well as motor sport.
Swansea and Gower are a short drive east, again offering fantastic beaches and wonderful walks, as well as pretty towns to explore.

Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.
This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
