Things to see & do This region of Spain is rated by the World Health Organisation, as being one of the healthiest climates in the world. Its climate is dry & equable throughout the year with over 300 days of sunshine. It is located close to several blue flag beaches and is popular with golfers and non-golfers alike. Torrevieja is just a short drive away where you can enjoy shopping, street markets & stalls, a marina, yacht club plus many cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a Tivoli (fun fair), Aqua Park (open summer times) & go karting for the children. Torrevieja has miles of beautiful beaches on which many water sports can be found, as well as many old churches and museums.

Bars & Restaraunts There are many restaurants in and around the area offering a wide variety of international cuisine. The Plaza at Villamartin has a mix of bars, shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Most of the bars and restaurants are open all the year round. There is also a small supermarket that carries many British products and newspapers and magazines.
Local horse riding stables are also within easy walking distance.
Torrevieja with its marina, modern shopping mall & childrens' fun fair & Aqua Park is only 5km. away.
There is a good motorway close by & Alicante is a 40 min. drive; & Murcia about 25 mins., with plenty to see & do in both for those looking for something other than just a beach holiday.
The La Manga Club is a 40 mins drive away.

Golfers Paradise The villa is ideally situated for those who enjoy a round of Golf. The famous championship golf course at Villamartin is less than 2 mins. away by car. It also features tennis facilities, and the Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant is also open to non-golfers. Close by is the beautiful course of Campoamar, with its magnificent views. Its 18 holes run through two connected valleys surrounded by low, undulating ridges which protect it from the wind. Las Ramblas (10 min drive), with its incredible water hazards is the shortest of the three but features high tees, narrow fairways and ravines. La Finca is a spectacular brand new golf course and is slightly more inland (about 20 mins. by car) The world famous La Manga course is only 40 minute drive south along the coast
