Coast/Beach
Several beaches can be reached in about one hour by car. The highest point on the road, Puerto de la Ragua can be reached in about 40 minutes. This is at 2,000 metres above sea level. From here, depending on the time of year, you can walk, cross-country ski or even get a Husky dog ride.

A lovingly restored 500 year old farmhouse that is available to rent as a holiday home for 10 people. Situated on the edge of the Sierra Nevada National Park at 1700 metres, this is the perfect location for walking, cycling, horse riding or simply relaxing.

The Cortijo has a large solar heated pool for guests use along with extensive gardens, terraces and grounds. Behind the Cortijo is Mulhacen, the largest peak in Spain and Pico Veleta, its challenging neighbour. The Cortijo is fabulous for groups of friends and families. The upper level is also a self contained apartment giving privacy and space however by opening a dividing door it becomes a large, welcoming home for 8/10 people to relax and enjoy.

The location is simply amazing with views down the Poqueira Valley to the sea and the majestic Sierra de Lujar. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of Morocco. Within a 10 minute drive or a 25 minute walk you can be in the white village of Capileira.
