These EOT approved (Greek Tourist Organisation 3 keys category) are located on the edge of a quiet seaside village about 7 mins walk from a sandy beach and the village centre. Guests may enjoy the shared use of the large, shady, enclosed garden surrounded by olive groves. Come and experience life in a beautiful village much appreciated by Greek holiday makers but off the beaten tourist track. Several other nice beaches are within easy driving distance and many archaeological sites.

Accommodation Summary : Each apartment(42m2)has one air-conditioned bedroom with 2 single beds.There is a large open plan living/ dining area with small double sofa bed for 2 and well equipped kitchen facilities. This room is cooled by a ceiling fan. The bathroom has a full bath with shower attachment. You have use of the fully enclosed garden which has plenty of shade, seating and two barbecues for the use of renters and also childrens' swing and slide.
Where is Amaliapolis? Amaliapolis is a picturesque seaside village situated on a large bay in the Pagasitic Gulf on the east coast of Greece, 53km south of the lively university city of Volos from where Jason and the Argonauts set sail. It is roughly midway between Athens and Thessaloniki and so well situated for exploring mainland Greece, including the monasteries of Meteora, classical Delphi and other archaeological sites in Magnesia and beyond. There are flights to Volos Airport only 23km away May-October. Motorway connections to Athens and Thessaloniki are easily reachable, only 15 km. away. Across the Gulf lies the Pelion Peninsula with skiing in winter and beautiful beaches, mountain villages and spectacular scenery.
About the village In the village centre you will find a choice of cafes/bars and tavernas, with excellent fish, three of which stay open all year, all within walking distance of the villa. The village also has two bakeries and two general stores. The beach is also within walking distance of the apartments and is sandy and gently sloping - making it very suitable for young children. There is also a childrens playground, 5-a-side football pitch and volleyball court next to the beach. In high season there are 2 beach bars. In summer Amaliapolis is popular with holidaying Greek families. You can experience the 'real' Greece here largely untouched by mass market tourism.
Things to do in the area: As well as the village beach there are several good beaches within a 30 minute drive. You can also take a boat trip to the island of Skiathos. The area of Magnesia is rich in archaeological sites including Ancient Thebes, Prehistoric Dimini, Sesklo and Dimitras. Volos is a bustling small city with a wide range of shops, restaurants and ferry links to the nearby islands of Skiathos, Alonissos and Skopelos. The Pelion Peninsula is within driving distance with beautiful scenery - a good day trip.
