We stayed on Da Vinci in beginning of October, 2010 and this was one of the most beautiful holidays we ever had. It was different experience, we got the feeling of "canal" life-style and will keep these memories for the rest of our lives.
Da Vinci was very nice, and we felt that it has been loved for every inch. Interior was very nice and the deck provided space for mind. The boat is not very big, but you have everything you need and at a high standart.
We had beautiful long breakfasts on the deck with croisants from local boulangerie and foi gras... The canal was very nice during our breakfast time - usually some 2-3 boats were going through canal gate. One day we spent exploring the canal - gates, canal bridge over the river - that was something amazing, the park nearby and the big rivers. Moissac is nice small town where you can get all basic things. One day we went to mountains. The drive is quite long - ~2,5 hours, but still it is worth going there. One more day we spent driving around coutryside and small bautiful french villages.
Paul and Anne-Marie were excellent hosts - we arrived really late, but they were still waiting and next day they came to visit us and brought local plums and grapes... And the advices they gave about what to see were really helpfull. We wish we could stay longer. Maybe next time!
Thank you, Paul, Anne-Marie and da Vinci!
Best regards,
Agnese

We have recently spent a weekend in France, staying aboard the
"Da vinci". My wife and l got to hear about the Da vinci through a friend who quite often rents boats when he and his wife are in France. He was very impressed with the manner in which the boat had been completely restored from the original : Admiralty Habour Boat from the wwII, to a very comfortable, well equipped boat.
I can onyl add my thoughts on the restoration as being Totally First Class. We were shown photos of the of boat before work began on its restoration; then those taken during the work to conclusion. l wonder - Paul, did you just build a New Boat from scratch?
Never the less, we had a wonderful weekend, the weather was good and we, do plan to rent the Da vinci again next year Spring.

We stayed on Da Vinci for one week in August and it was a perfect week. The boat is beautifully restored and well equipped for two people. We sat and watched the world go by on the canal, and in the evenings strolled into Moissac for dinner. The town centre is within easy walking distance. Its location on the canal means that nearby towns can be easily reached by bike. There are also some very interesting places to visit locally by car - if you like architecture, lovely scenery and local markets. Paul and Anne Marie couldn't do enough to help, and were great to deal with.
We will be recommending this to family and friends as it has real novelty value and is a very relaxing place. It's also affordable and purpose built for couples - places like this are few and far between.

Verified Homeowner
Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.
This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.
Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
We take this Owner Verification Scheme very seriously for your protection. If you have any doubts about the validity of an advert or misrepresentation please contact us with your concerns.
Please note, Lupain Holiday Rentals does not verify the advertisement content placed on this website by property owners, nor do we offer any guarantee as to the correctness of the advertising information placed on this website by third parties.
