The foundations of the house date back to the Middle Ages and it features an impressive curving stone staircase. It is conveniently situated close to the centre of Montfrin : The local shops are only 2 minutes' walk from the house. There is a patio area just outside the sitting room which stays pleasantly cool on hot summer days, a paved garden with honeysuckle, jasmine and an olive tree and a top terrace with panoramic views across the rooftops of Montfrin.
Montfrin is roughly half way between Avignon and Nimes and an ideal base from which to explore the Camargue, the area of Uzes and the Alpilles on the other side of the Rhone.
Unlike many villages Montfrin has a good selection of shops selling local produce, a supermarket on the edge of the village and three caf�s on the main square.
