North Berwick and Surrounding Area North Berwick is a busy seaside town well loved for family holidays, golf and activity holidays alike. Many of its visitors return year after year to enjoy its warmth and hospitality. Families spend time on the town s two sandy beaches, or putting on the greens, sailing, surfing, visiting The Bass Rock and May Island by boat or simply watching the world go by !.
Bird watching is of keen interest in the area as The Bass Rock is home to the world’s largest island gannetry while puffins abound on May Island. For those wishing to travel, the picturesque villages of Gullane and Aberlady are within easy reach by car and public transport.
Golf is a major attraction across the coast of East Lothian with numerous links courses available, a number of them qualifiers for the British Open. The Ladies amateur Open takes place in 2010 in nearby Archerfield. For those who prefer sailing the East Lothian Yacht club, a stone’s throw from the apartment is a must.

The Edinburgh Festival 2010 The 2010 festival runs from 2 August to 6 September. Edinburgh is taken over by street theatre, plays, exhibitions, music, and dance. Venues across the city are converted to become temporary homes for plays, comedies, satire, and the like. The city buzzes with visitors many of whom simply sit in the alfresco cafes and bars watching the vibrant street entertainment.
