There are many beautiful walks in the vicinity and you can enjoy the area's tasty sheep's milk cheese, local ham and various other products.

Sight seeing Here you are excellently situated for visiting the cities of Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Rome, and numerous lesser-known places of historical and artistic interest such as Pienza,Cortona and Montalcino. Bagno Vignoni with its hot sulphur springs, where the old roman bath can be seen, it was a spa in ancient times, while nearby Chiusi where the Etruscan museum can be visited was an important Etruscan centre.
Wining and Dining There are numerous excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity and in Italy almost everywhere is child friendly. You can sample local specialities such as the homemade spaghetti known as ‘pici’, ‘la finocchiona’, a type of salami, flavoured with fennel seeds, delicious grilled local sausages and ‘pecorino’, the famous sheep's milk cheese made in the area. If you don't want to go out, we can serve you a meal (by prior arrangement) including typical Tuscan dishes.
Travel A car is recommended, however it is possible to do without and we offer lifts into town where you can catch a bus or the train.
Public transport is cheap and the nearest main line station is Chiusi.
Car hire is possible by the day, we can arrange this for you and we can meet you at the station.
