About Long Island Long Island is one of the most unique islands in the Bahamas. For many people, it is considered the hidden Bahamas. On the northern tip there are dramatic sea cliffs overlooking the dark blue water where Columbus anchored the Santa Maria when he discovered the island in 1492. In his ship’s log, an entry mentions taking on fresh water, trading with the natives, and notes that this was the most beautiful island he had ever seen. The beaches are incredible. Talcum-powder fine white sand and crushed pink and brown shell cover some of the most stunning beaches in the Bahamas. The water is clear, warm, and turquoise blue. From hillside perches, where cool trade winds blow, you can look down to stretches of spectacular coast and water so pristine you can see multiple shades of blue in the depths of the ocean. Yet this island has much more to offer than its natural beauty; it is safe, easily accessible by air, close to the United States, and home to friendly English-speaking locals.
Rental Policies - Rental period is Sunday to Sunday. Check in time after 4pm, check-out time is before 10am. - security deposit = to 15% or $800 (whichever is greater) - a 50% deposit (or one weeks rental) is required within 7 days of booking. - Balance plus security deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival date. Within 30 days of departure, the balance of security less any damages, cleaning in excess of 8 hours or phone charges will be returned to you.
Due to the high level of furnishings and audio video equipment, we regret that this villa is not appropriate for children under 12.
Cancellation Policy - Cancellations - due to our remote location once a reservation is booked, you are responsible for the rental period. Should you need to cancel for any reason, please call us as soon as possible as we will make every effort to rebook the rental period. If we are successful in rebooking the space, your deposit will be returned less a 15% cancellation fee

Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
