Lodge67 is a licensed Holiday Residence located in the heart of the city of Funchal, Madeira Island, being part of a historic building dated of 1920, totally renewed in 2010. Located just a few steps from Praça do Carmo (Carmo Square), a place full of life, with plenty of Restaurants, coffee shops and stores, just 250m from Funchal city Market.
The apartment is fully equipped, including air conditioning and wireless internet. Decorated in it's period style with the comfort of the present days.
Here you can hear the church´s bells and enjoy the pleasure of listening the cruise ships arrive and part from Funchal's port, giving you a romantic and cosmopolitan HOLIDAY!

A holiday is truly easy in this apartment. It is in the wonderful part of the old town of Funchal with everything in walking distance. This makes the stay really comfortable and relaxed. You almost feel like one of the locals. It is far away from the purpose built complexes where tourists often stay.
There is a lot of life around which makes the apartment a vibrant place to stay. I came there to write and the desk with the wifi connection was ideally suited. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The furnishing is stylish and functional. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. A dishwasher would make the stay even more comfortable but we coped well without. The bathroom is on the small side and if you travel with lots of toiletries you might need to store them in the bedroom. There are lots of stairs to negotiate (not suitable for small children and for people who have difficulties climbing stairs). The apartment is non-smoking but sometimes people seem to smoke outside the café below. We are sensitive to smoke but did not mind this. A place to enjoy the Madeira sunshine outside would have been perfect but it is even more enjoyable to catch the sun on the square just down from the house while drinking a bica (espresso). There are two large supermarkets in close proximity which makes grocery shopping easy. The airport transfer worked seamlessly. The owner was friendly and always available for advice as was the management agent (there is a telephone provided in the apartment which was superb). The only thing I would suggest is maybe to include some instructions on the daily management of the apartment (e.g. rubbish disposal) in the apartment. Unfortunately our stay was just one week which felt too short. We will definitely be back!

Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.

This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.

Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.

If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
