The studio style accommodation comprises of a screened sleeping area with a double bed and an en-suite shower room,a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a lounge area with TV/DVD'CD player and an electric simulated log burning stove.The front doors open on to a sunny terrace with built in bbq, table and chairs and sunloungers.The extensive gardens are at the disposal of guests and there are several corners to enjoy some
quiet moments in addition there is an orchard for fresh fruit in season and a herb garden.We are in walking distance of two local restaurants and several neighbourhood shops for basic food items.

If you are here to enjoy the outdoor activities that La Palma is famous for we are 1.4km from The Caldera de Taburiente National park visitors centre where you can find information about the many walks and trails available here, You could spend a week or more just exploring the small lanes and forest tracks in the La Rosa area.

Los Nogales is situated in the small rural community of La Rosa.A stroll down through the village ,amongst traditional style canarian houses with their red roofs will bring you to the town of El Paso.The centre of town is dominated by the brightly coloured ayutamiento or town hall,opposite is a small park which houses the tourist information office.Further up the main street is the culture centre where concerts and exhibitions are held,along this road you will also find a selection of bars and shops,at the top is the medical centre.El Paso was once the centre of the silk industry and a museum dedicated to it's production is in the road alongside the town hall,if you walk up this street you will find the post office and further up the church and the older hermitage.The patron saint of El Paso is La Virgin del Pino every third year a large romeria or pilgrimage is held in her honour,where everyone dresses in traditional costume and follows a statue of the virgin from her sanctuary.
 
Nearby Attractions
The largest town on the western side of the island,Los Llanos is 7km away.The town has a pleasant square where people meet to chat over a coffee or just to watch the world go by.There is a large selection of restaurants to choose from,ranging from italian to chinese.The nearest beach is Tazacorte ,reputed to be the sunniest place in Europe,a 12km drive from the cottage.Behind the sandy beach is a row of restaurants specialising in local fish.From the port you can arrange boat trips to go whale watching.Most people come to La Palma to enjoy the many hiking trails that we have here,Los Nogales is on the borders of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park which has a network of paths to suit all abilities,ask at the visitors centre for directions.The most famous trail is La ruta de Los Volcanes,a 19km walk which starts at the El Pilar recreation site and finishes in the village of Fuencaliente in the south.Santa Cruz is worth a visit to admire the architecture and to do some shopping.
 
Transport
A car is essential if you want to see the whole island,but if you want to just enjoy the local area there is an excellent bus service.The stops are 800m for either direction one way to the capital Santa Cruz and the other to Los Llanos where you can make connections to Tazacorte and Puerto Naos.Taxis are inexpensive and there are taxi ranks in both El Paso and Los Llanos.If you have walked into El Paso from Los Nogales but don't fancy the walk back a taxi will cost approximatley 3 euros.There are several local companies that arrange walking tours with transport provided.

Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.

This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.

Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.

If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process.
