Le Pelateau is situated in the beautiful little village of Montgibaud. Montgibaud can be found in the Correze; a department of the Limousin, nestled just below the border of the Haute-Vienne. Le Pelateau's position is ideal for visiting/house hunting in both the Correze and the Haute Vienne departments of the Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to the south. Montgibaud is situated just 10 minutes off exit 42 on the A20 and only 45 minutes drive from Limoges airport.The views from Le Pelateau are breathtaking due to Montgibaud's elevated position. Le Pelateau Cottage is separate from the main house and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.
Accommodation Summary : The Cottage is spacious clean comfortable and tastefully decorated whilst maintaining a cottage atmosphere. Guests have full use of Le Pelateau’s large garden and the BBQ, with outside seating area. The Cottage guests are asked to request to use the BBQ as we may be using it for our weekly BBQ evening. The Cottage guests are more than welcome to join the evening, but this must be booked in advance. Board games and cards are held in the main house but are available to guests in The Cottage. All bedding and bath towels are provided free of charge and access to a washing machine is available for a small charge. Le Pelateau has spacious off road parking. A welcome pack is provided for all guests on arrival.
Places of Interest The Limousin has 7 'Plus Beaux' Villages of France; 6 of which can be found in the Correze. Two are within very easy access of Le Pelateau:
Segur-le-Chateau (14 km)
Saint-Robert (31 km)
However all the villages are easily accessible and are recommended.
There are 2 lakes at Meuzac which is only 5 minutes from Le Pelateau. On the larger lake, in July, Meuzac plays host to an international water skiing championship and water skiing is available for all from April to September. The other smaller lake is used for swimming and has a beach area and bar.
Places to eat Montgibaud boasts a very good restaurant which is a 1 minute walk from Le Pelateau, however due to its popularity a table must be booked in advance which we are happy to do on your behalf. Other restaurants are recommended in Meuzac (4km) Lubersac (10km) and Coussac Bonneval (10km).

Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.
This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.
Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
We take this Owner Verification Scheme very seriously for your protection. If you have any doubts about the validity of an advert or misrepresentation please contact us with your concerns.
