Carvoeiro is becoming increasingly popular with the discerning villa holidaymaker. Centred around the quaint fishing village the villas are of a high quality. There are many villas which are within easy walking distance of the sandy beach and an excellent choice of shops, bars and restaurants. To both east and west are further sandy beaches and at Benagil and Praia do Carvalho you will find sandy coves which, even at the height of summer, offer space and calm. Sports are well catered for, there being two 18 hole golf courses at Carvoeiro Golf and the 9 hole course at Vale de Milho. Tennis is also available at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club and only a five minute drive away is Slide n Splash, a superb water slide park. For trips out, Portimao is a major shopping centre and the restaurants around the fishing harbour offer the freshest fish possible. Car Hire is not necessary as you can walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Bus service and taxis, plus a landtrain that travels around the outskirts of Carvoeiro can also be used.
