General Information Madeira is mountainous in nature and some of the road journeys afford the most breathtaking views. The Levada systems (small canals delivering water for agriculture) have small paths to walk along by the side of them. They are a must to do even if you are not a tried and tested walker.Bring a torch as some have tunnels.
This is an ideal location to explore the beautiful island of Madeira as you will be only 5 minutes from the Via Rapida for Funchal (30 mins).
Walking & Golf Activities Golf: The famous Palheiro Golf Course is just a 30 minute drive away.The other at Santa da Serra is a slightly longer journey. A third Golf course is being built further west in Ponta do Pargo - the most westerly point on the island, sporting a rather nice lighthouse and spectacular views to the north...the sea is pure turquoise blue as the waves aerate the water by means of crashing surf onto the black rocks.

Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.

Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
