Jacinto is our 3 bedroom cavehouse. It has stunning 360 degrees panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. The cavehouse is well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. There are 3 good sized bedrooms (1 en-suite) with an abundance of storage. The living space is open plan with 2 lounge areas and a dining area. There is a log burner in situ. There is plenty of outside space incorporating a large patio with a covered area for shade and dining out. There are flower beds, fruit trees and a large gravelled area for parking. The cavehouse is powered by solar energy, making it a wonderful Eco-friendly way of life. This does however limit the use of some high powered electrical items (eg irons & hair-driers). The cave remains at a constant temperature at around 18 degrees, so there is no need for air-conditioning.
Jacinto is 7km from the village of Benamaurel which has numerous bars (18 at the last count!) and shops. The bars all serve free tapas with your drinks.

Here you will find many shops (including several supermarkets) and an abundance of bars and restaurants. The town features narrow winding streets and many ancient buildings including the remains of two necropolis and the Arabic baths. The municipal museum contains the stunning Lady of Baza an ancient Iberian limestone figure which was discovered in Baza in 1971. During Moorish times, Baza was an important frontier post on the border of the kingdom of Murcia.
The town of Baza is well situated, nestling in the mountains just half an hour's drive from the coast and 107 kilometres (65 miles) from the town of Granada.
Granada This vibrant city is home to the historic Al Hambra - the Moorish 'Red Fortress' a citadel and 'palace of a thousand marvels' containing breathtaking Islamic art and architecture.
The city of Granada has been shaped by the hills, where the old districts in the Albaicín and the Alhambra were founded, brimming with steep, narrow streets, beautiful nooks and crannies, and marvellous landscapes. The new part of the city is situated on the plain, criss crossed by the large arteries of Gran Vía de Colón and Calle de los Reyes Católicos, and where the busy streets around the Cathedral are found.
Other Local Interests One of Europe’s largest lakes, Lake Negratin is situated at the foothills of Mount Jabalcon. There is plenty to do and see here including sailing, fishing, windsurfing and relaxing in the famous hot spring baths. The area is stunning with the cobalt blue coloured lake to a Grand Canyon-like backdrop to the north.
The Sierra Castril is a relatively undiscovered and untouched fantastic mountain area to the north-east of Granada. It is a landscape carved by canyons, waterfalls, numerous peaks, and caves. Castril is a typical small Granadian town with stepped houses and steep streets. There is amazing walkway through the gorge at Castril – well worth a trip.
The Sierra de Baza is a stunning national park containing many varieties of plant and animal species - including golden eagles, kestrels, roe deer, wild boars and the rare and beautiful Baza butterfly - which is unique to this particular region of Spain.
Why is Lupain Holiday Rentals the only holiday rental company to verify the ownership of holiday accommodation? Research has shown that not all advertisers are genuine. There have been cases where people have booked holiday accommodation only to find out it does not exist.
This sort of ‘scam’ is hard to comprehend but these days fraudsters are coming up with ever more imaginative ways of obtaining money by deception from innocent people like you. We do not want holidaymakers who book with us to fall victim to this type of scheme. Money is mostly hard earned we know, so taking a holiday is usually a major expense. In addition, we do not want you to remember us for a shattered dream.
Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
We take this Owner Verification Scheme very seriously for your protection. If you have any doubts about the validity of an advert or misrepresentation please contact us with your concerns.
Please note, Lupain Holiday Rentals does not verify the advertisement content placed on this website by property owners, nor do we offer any guarantee as to the correctness of the advertising information placed on this website by third parties.
