Rock Cottage is a Georgian hunting lodge, dating back to 1826. A unique property with lots of historical features. Rock Cottage lies on the Mizen peninsula, very secluded, yet close to everything the area has to offer. The main house overlooks the gardens and lightly wooded paddocks, where sheep and donkeys graze, joined by some hens, dogs and cats to complete the cast.All in all the property stands on 17 acres. At the back lies a walled courtyard/ garden with the restored outbuildings. Stables, a smaller holiday cottage ( see property IE 12160) and the owners accommodation. A short walk leads to heather covered hills with stunning views over the bay and the surrounding countryside. Weather you bring your family or enough friends to fill the house, Rock Cottage is the ideal base to explore the area or relax here. Rock Cottage is normally run as an award winning guesthouse and is now, for the first time,available for your self-catering holiday.

Therefore, in order to protect you we have introduced our Owner Verification Scheme. We ask all holiday home advertisers to submit proof that they own the property they are advertising. Only when we are satisfied that an advertiser and their property is genuine do we add our Green Shield to their property advert. Apart from being a deterrent, it also encourages advertisers to make sure they verify their property, giving you peace of mind when you make your booking.
If you want to make a booking look for the Green Shield on the top right of the property advert, if you do not see our Green Shield it may mean we have not yet completed the verification process. We normally complete this process within a few days if no verification is forthcoming the advert is removed.
